Well, the cleaning party went great! Three people didn’t show up, but the ones who did worked hard to get the place in great shape. My husband and I cold soaked the fryers…looked BEAUTIFUL…turned them back on and now one mulit-vat doesn’t work. We troubleshoot it best we can, then look in the equipment manual. It says, “call maintenance”. Our maintenance man is out till Monday. Sooo…we work without it. This is difficult because we are a high-volume store. Do what you can do with what you have is what I say. My First Assistant scrubbed our bathrooms until they sparkled and a crewmember cleaned our PHU so well it looks brand new. Then we worked on the floors. Big job as it is a huge store. Huge as it is, there’s never enough room so during breakfast, I rearranged our shelves and work tables. Now, when our FBL from corporate comes to visit us next week, we will be shining like the star we are. Most importantly, our guests will have a clean dining experience. Next big job…scrubbing the floors in the freezer and cooler! WOO HOO!!!
